The Barton College soccer program’s Youth Soccer Day Camp for boys and girls ages 3 through 13 starts Monday, June 11 and runs through Friday, June 15. The cost is $75 for ages 3-5 and $100 for ages 6-13. Both age groups will participate from 5-7 p.m., with the ages 6-13 group going until 8 p.m. nightly at Barton Athletic Complex.
Campers will focus on skill development while having fun learning technical and tactical aspects of the game. All sessions will be conducted by collegiate coaches.
From July 27-29, Barton will also hold a residential camp for high school girls, designed for advanced players. Individual skills will be touched upon before moving into tactical play with large groups. The cost is $200 for commuters and $250 for residential campers prior to July 1. The cost for residential campers increases to $290 after July 1.

Barton basketball camp coming up
The Barton College men’s basketball program will hold its annual summer camps for young players (ages 7-16) in June.
The camps will be led by Bulldogs veteran head coach Ron Lievense, with 37 years collegiate coaching experience, and longtime assistant coach Joel Zimmerman.
There will be a Fundamentals Camp and a Shooting Camp, with two sessions for each all in Wilson Gymnasium on the Barton campus. The Fundamentals Camp will run from June 18-21, from 9 a.m. to noon, and from June 25-28, also from 9 a.m. to noon. The Shooting Camp dates are June 18-21 and June 25-28 from 1-2:30 p.m. in both sessions.
There will be 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 games daily with participants grouped by age and skill level. Participants will get equal playing time.
The cost for the Fundamentals Camp only is $105 and for both camps is $180 per camper. The Shooting Camp is not offered separately. A $40 deposit is due by June 18 to hold a place in camp.
Each camper will receive a T-shirt and lunch will be provided for those who participate in both the Fundmentals and Shooting camps.
