I have recently celebrated my 50th anniversary of nursing. It has been a wonderful journey.

The purpose of this letter is to thank all those who made it possible.

My career has always been in a physician office setting. My coworkers are like family to me. I’ve had the privilege of working with wonderful doctors. But the real ones I want to thank are you — the patients.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many nice people from all walks of life. As time passed, you went from being patients to being my friends. Thank you.

No, I haven’t retired, but before I do, I wanted you to know it has been a privilege and a blessing to know you all.
