Thank you for your article about the Cavalier Park track. Many users of the track did not know of the plans to pave it in concrete, and this is helpful in bringing these plans to the public’s attention.
I was disappointed that no health issues of dirt track vs. concrete paving were mentioned in the article. Runner’s World Magazine, with an estimated readership of 2.9 million each issue, rated two surfaces, equally, as the worst to walk and run on: snow, because it is so slippery, and concrete, because it is so jarring on muscles and joints.
