Theatre at Barton kicks off the 2018 spring semester with a series of performances scheduled for Feb. 23-25 in the Kennedy Family Theatre.

This three-day festival of new material and student work will showcase works in progress and is intended to be a springboard for the performers and the material alike. Discussions with the artists involved will follow each performance. The festival will be free of charge to the public, and the community is invited to attend.

Times for each specific performance will be finalized in the coming days and posted both at www.barton.edu/theatre and on the Barton College Theatre Facebook page.

The expected performances include a senior showcase “Cabaret” for graduating musical theater students, a “Ten-Minute Play Festival” for directing and acting students, and a concert/CD release celebration for “Starboy,” the new musical by Ray Shell and Chris Van Cleave, recorded at Barton’s Sara Lynn Riley Kennedy Studio by Phil Valera and featuring the talents of many local Wilson singers.
