Learning blooms in the STEM Garden

Thank you for being one of our most loyal readers. Please consider supporting community journalism by subscribing to The Wilson Times.

The Wilson Botanical Gardens Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who came to our STEM Garden ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This new garden, a unique approach to providing science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs to Wilson’s youth, has already drawn visitors from far and wide. At the May 10 ribbon-cutting, we entertained educators, community leaders and youth.

We sincerely appreciate Times reporter Drew Wilson’s coverage, which was picked up by The Daily Reflector of Greenville. Kudos also to Dave DiFilippo for his editorial cartoon published May 24. You captured the spirit of STEM in the garden.

If you haven’t been to the Wilson Botanical Gardens at 1806 Goldsboro St. SW, now is the time. The flowers are blooming and the weather is perfect for a day in the garden.
