July 29, 1969 — Nov. 11, 2018
On Sunday, Nov. 11, Lisa Wesson, a devoted wife, a loving mother and friend to all, passed away at the age of 49. We can find comfort knowing she is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Lisa was born July 29, 1969 in Charleston, West Virginia to Bill and Sue Robinette. Lisa grew up in Wilson and graduated from Barton College in 1991 with a degree in Social Work. She married Quinn Wesson in 1995 and their blessed journey together began. As a profession she steadfastly advocated for the needs of the elderly and other populations for many years until her second career as do-it-all mom for her two wonderful daughters Emily and Abby.
Lisa was a bundle of joy and enthusiasm with an infectious smile that brightened every room she entered. She dedicated her life to serving others, and through this dedication touched many, many lives. Her passion and commitment to helping people made her a great confidant and best friend for many who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Lisa’s life motto was “Choose Joy” and that is exactly what we will do to honor her legacy. Live, laugh and love today because tomorrow will take care of itself.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Sue.
She is survived by her husband, Quinn; her two daughters, Emily and Abby; her father, Bill; her in-laws, Jerry and Joanne Wesson; and several other relatives.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at New Horizons Fellowship in Apex.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Lisa’s honor to: Duke Cancer Center, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or The Alzheimer’s Association.
