Rhylee Elmore Fielding, 48, of Mooresville, N.C., was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1969, in Elizabeth City to Glenda Barwick Elmore and William Elwood Elmore. Rhylee was a graduate of South Lenoir High School in Deep Run. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Peace College in Raleigh and a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University.
She grew up in Kinston and faithfully attended Gordon Street Christian Church. Rhylee was a personal trainer, passionately devoted to personal fitness and wellbeing for her herself, family and countless others. Spending time with her family was her greatest blessing and joy. She was also surrounded by cherished friends that she danced through life with any chance she could.
In addition to her parents, Bill and Glenda Elmore, she is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Richard Thomas Fielding; precious daughters, Carson Elizabeth Fielding and Ellie Moore Fielding; sisters, Robin Elmore Beaman and husband Rusty of Kinston and Rebecca Elmore Journigan and husband Jim, of Raleigh; mother and father-in-law, Michael Harry Fielding and Susan Gillian Fielding of Wilson; sister-in-law, Kate Fielding Halsband and husband Scott, of Durango, Colorado; brother-in-law, Marcus Edward Fielding and wife Julia of Wilson; nieces and nephews, Macy, Pierce, Fisher, Olin, Sally, Abby, Emily and Olivia; and loyal companion, Lucy, her dog.
Rhylee’s happiness was family, friends and her toes in the sand. She was truly a light and example of unwavering faith to so many that will be sorely missed as her amazing light now shines brighter than ever.
Services for Rhylee were held on Sunday at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville and will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at Gordon Street Christian Church, Kinston. A visitation to greet family and friends will be held immediately following the service. The private burial will be held at Westview Cemetery.
