Amoret Stinagle helped her Hunt High varsity volleyball team win two of its three matches last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Amoret, a senior middle hitter, recorded 13 kills, four blocks and four aces in wins over Beddingfield and East Wake. For the season, she leads the Lady Warriors with 21 blocks and is second with 72 kills.
She has a 4.0 weighted GPA at Hunt, where she takes Advanced Placement and honors courses. Amoret is a member of the school’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Club UNIFY. She also played softball for the Lady Warriors her first two years at Hunt.
The daughter of Denise and Todd Stinagle of Rock Ridge, Amoret is active at Marsh Swamp Church, where she assists in numerous charitable activities. She has also served as a volunteer for Special Olympics at Hunt.
She plays travel volleyball for Eastern Elite of Goldsboro and works part time at Harris-Teeter grocery store. Amoret plans to major in nursing in college.
