Senior Sabrina Wasilewski helped her Beddingfield High girls tennis team win three matches last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Playing at No. 2 singles, Sabrina went 2-1 while winning all three of her No. 1 doubles matches as the Lady Bruins knocked off North Pitt, Nash Central and Farmville Central. For the season, Sabrina is 7-1 at No. 2 singles and 7-3 overall while going 7-3 at No. 1 doubles and a perfect 6-0 with Karissa Hayes as her teammate. Sabrina is a two-time All-Eastern Plains Conference selection.
Sabrina had a 4.2 weighted GPA and a No. 12 class ranking entering her senior year. She takes honors courses as well as online classes from Wilson Community College. She is a member of the Bruinettes service club as well as Beddingfield’s chapter of National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has earned the school’s Academic Excellence Award each of her three previous years.
The daughter of Tina and Dennis Mosley of Wilson and Lynette and Chris Wasilewski of Kenly, Sabrina is organizing an American Red Cross blood drive for early 2018 and she works part-time at Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Wilson.
