Branch cards ace at Willow Springs

Long-time Wilson golfer Skeeter Branch is the latest Willow Springs Country Club golfer to card a hole-in-one.

Branch, whose golfing background extends more than 40 yards, posted his second career ace in a recent round on the par-3, 160-yard, No. 12 layout. The ace was his first at Willow Springs and the second of his career for Branch, who joined Willow Springs in early summer.

Witnessing the gem were playing partners John Wooten, Scott Irby and Larry Lane.

Wooten noted the shot into the wind and over a small pond was impressive enough that “halfway there, you knew it had a chance.”
